Tennis Ireland’s mission is to sustain and grow tennis as the most welcoming and accessible sport in Ireland, nurturing and promoting excellence at every level across the entire island.
With close to 1,600 community courts out there, we aim to achieve this by training Tennis Activators to introduce tennis sessions and foster participation in our communities.
To support this effort, we have created the Activators Training Programme, which provides learners with the necessary information to initiate tennis programmes on community courts.
Tennis Activators will play a multifaceted role in promoting and advancing the sport.
Through their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment, they will make valuable contributions to the tennis community and create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy the benefits of our great sport.
The Course
To complete the course, participants must watch the 12 recordings associated with the course and answer the 5 multiple choice questions after each part.
Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of participation, recognising their commitment to promoting inclusivity and engagement in tennis.
NB Participants must complete all 12 quizzes to pass the course and must produce an in-date Safeguarding 1 Certificate from Sport Ireland and Vetting Disclosure either from the Guards or Access NI before we will provide an official certificate and list you as a Tennis Ireland Activator
